Kim Taschereau

Certified Nutritional Practitioner

Natural Nutrition - Clinical Practitioner

Hello, I'm Kim! I am a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and a proud member of the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners. Beyond the credentials, I am a passionate explorer of the intricate connection between digestive healing and optimal well-being.

How did I end up here?

My story begins when I was in grade three. My mom got very ill with cervical cancer and my dad's health wasn't the greatest either- he was a trucker, which translates to fast food eating and coffee/soda drinking.

During my early years of life, I remember many drive-throughs and soda cans. I remember being chubby as a kid, even though I was very active. My mom's diagnosis was the scare my parents needed to switch their health and lifestyle around.

Out of nowhere, we were a family of home-cooked meals and my sister and I were banned from drinking soda (seriously). I was now the kid with veggie sticks and apples in her lunchbox. Since this new lifestyle started at such a young age for me, it simply has always felt "normal" to choose healthy home-cooked meals over take-out. I have always loved the way my body feels good, satiated, and happy after choosing a hearty bowl of homemade chilli over deep-fried chicken nuggets.

When I entered my late teens, I started going to the gym with my dad. I fell in love with fitness and in fact, earned my Canfitpro Personal Training Certification in 2017. The more I learned about movement and fueling the body, the more I started to learn about nutrition and gut health. Now, this is when I became a complete gut health nerd and started studying biological chemistry and the pathology of disease. â€‹

Did you know all disease begins in the gut?

I pursued holistic nutrition studies at The Institute of Holistic Nutrition and obtained my Certified Nutritional Practitioner designation in 2021. I've been helping clients achieve their goals, improve their gut health, heal from unwanted symptoms, and gain confidence in their bodies since.

Beyond all of this, I have also become an activist for low-toxic living and being kind to Mother Earth. In other words, I find complete and utter joy in the simple things of life.
